We Build Active Jewish Communities

Community Relations

Jewish Federations invest in every aspect of Jewish life, and deeply understand the needs of our communities. We are confident that the most effective way to safeguard our Jewish communities at this critical moment is by investing in the communal infrastructure that prevents antisemitism from taking root and proliferating.

Our Three Focus Areas

Local Government & Civic Relationships

Jewish representation in policy discussions is critical for ensuring Jewish communities receive necessary protections. Advocating for security funding, anti-discrimination policies, and religious accommodations in the workplace requires engagement with local officials, unions, and professional associations. Addressing antisemitism ensures fair treatment and inclusion in policy-making decisions impacting Jewish communities.

Interfaith/Intergroup Relations

Rising antisemitism necessitates strong interfaith and civic alliances to ensure Jewish voices are heard and safety prioritized. Building strong relationships rooted in trust are an affirmation of our values and identities strengthen our collective safety and well-being, foster a more inclusive society, and help combat antisemitism.

Education (K-12 & Campus)

Jewish students increasingly face antisemitism, bias, and misinformation. Engagement with educational institutions is needed to promote accurate Jewish history, Holocaust education, and anti-discrimination measures, including the IHRA definition of antisemitism. Empowering parents, students, and community leaders to advocate effectively against discrimination is essential for safe, inclusive learning environments.
