Jewish Federations of North America mourn the tragic loss of five young Israeli soldiers from a Haredi battalion who were killed on Tuesday by an explosive device in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza. We extend our deepest condolences and strength to the families of:

• Sergeant Moshe Nissim Frech, 20, of Jerusalem 
• Staff Sergeant Noam Aharon Musgadian, 20, of Jerusalem
• Sergeant Major Benyamin Asulin, 28, of Haifa 
• Staff Sergeant Moshe Shmuel Noll, 21, of Beit Shemesh

We also express our profound gratitude to the soldiers who braved enemy fire to rescue their fallen brothers, and we pray for the full and speedy recovery of the dozen soldiers wounded during the evacuation.
