Location: Hybrid Position - remote in the Seattle area with limited hours in the Downtown Seattle office.
Hours: 25 hours per week, Part-time with benefits
 

The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle is searching for a self-motivated and strategic thinking early childhood Jewish Education professional committed to core Jewish values who is excited to support programming for ElevatEd, a groundbreaking national pilot initiative bringing together leading Jewish communal institutions and funders to strengthen the field of Early Childhood Jewish Education (ECJE).
 

The initiative seeks to address the critical shortage of high-quality, certified early childhood teachers in Jewish settings for the wider Jewish Puget Sound community. An ideal candidate is adaptable and thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
 

As ElevatEd Seattle Community Manager you will play an essential role in establishing a cohesive and healthy ECJE ecosystem. As a member of the Federation’s professional team, you will be familiar with the local ECJE landscape and serve as a liaison to the national ElevatEd team.
 

The ElevatEd Seattle Community Manager will work closely with, and receive support, from the national ElevatEd staff and will join a cohort in a community of practice with other professionals in pioneer communities across the United States.

This position reports to the Director of Jewish Engagement, and is a non-exempt position.
 

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional, who is invested in the purpose of ElevatEd. To be effective in this role, the individual must take initiative; have strong executive functioning skills, comfortably use technology; have a flexible and innovative mindset; and be able to balance a variety of tasks to elevate the field of early childhood. The Community Manager will be responsible for work in three discrete areas: Talent Recruitment, Educational Facilitation and Network-Weaving, Local Project Management and Administration.
 

REQUIREMENTS
What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an early childhood education setting
  • Supervisory experience a plus but not required;
  • Able to work independently and use sound judgment in making decisions that have been delegated to this role;
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, cross-functional teams, and external parties in a rapidly growing environment;
  • Experience in group facilitation (children or adults);
  • Experience in creation and implementation of multimedia marketing and outreach;
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and experience with Google products and database knowledge;
  • Travel around King and Snohomish County required; and
  • Availability to work evenings and Sundays as well as potential travel nationally for 10 to 12 days per year.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $55,000 per year (This role is grant-funded through June 30, 2026)
  • Paid time off and Holidays including secular and Jewish holidays
  • Eligible benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k) and 403(b)
