The Digital Marketing Associate is a key driver of this work; responsible for collaborating with colleagues across the department and organization to enhance JewishColumbus’ presence across all its digital platforms including: website, social media, and e-communications. 
 

This positon reports to the Director of Marketing.

In this role, you will:

  • leverage your keen understanding of JewishColumbus’ brand to develop engaging online content for a variety of platforms and audiences
  • serve as the voice of JewishColumbus’ presence on multiple social media channels developing content and posting it
  • produce polished, effective print media, email and digital marketing campaigns for events, fundraising efforts and community engagement programs
  • develop digital marketing plan/strategies that overlay non-digital marketing channels to seamlessly integrate the orgs message across all platforms of messaging
  • manage website as it relates to front-end web development, branding, content, user journey, SEO and more.


Across all projects, your successful efforts will grab—and hold—the attention of key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and Jewish communal professionals.

Leading candidates will have a proven ability to create engaging content across multiple platforms, with a background in online content development, copywriting, and/or digital marketing.
 

Your Role and Responsibilities as Digital Marketing Associate:

  • Partner with JewishColumbus’ internal team members to concept and implement multi-channel content and marketing materials, including copywriting, layout, email design, website content/blog posts, and social media posts and ads
  • Maintain and regularly update JewishColumbus’ website including managing/helping with event registration creation and maintenance
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and other staff members to develop eye-catching static, GIF, and video content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, jewishcolumbus.org, email, and other digital/social media platforms
  • Support the development and production of emails including event newsletters, action alerts, and other emails as needed
  • Create and distribute digital marketing toolkits for internal and external partners as needed
  • Manage and disseminate the results of digital marketing and advertising campaigns, pivoting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
  • Oversee website transactions including event registrations, donation pages, etc.
  • Maintain JewishColumbus’ website - keeping it updated, interesting, and relevant
  • Take part in a website redesign effort enhancing the platform to increase useability and traffic.
  • Collaborate as part of cross-functional teams on fundraising and marketing campaigns, including efforts focused on the Annual Campaign, special campaigns and Jewish holidays.
  • Create engaging content for events including taking photos and video for social media and email campaigns.


Your Background, Qualifications, and Success Factors

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in digital marketing or social media management required
  • Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Premiere Pro required
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Canva preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proactive, efficient and able to multitask
  • Portfolio of engaging, original content developed for digital and social media, including videos, emails, Instagram Stories and more
  • Experience/familiarity with email marketing software such as Constant Contact or Pardot
  • Familiarity with running social media ad campaign as well as tracking and reporting social media metrics.
  • Comfortable with or willing to learn data segmentation to target email and/or social media campaigns to specific audiences
  • Working knowledge of HTML a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with a DSLR camera a plus
  • Familiarity with and ability to infuse Jewish culture, values, traditions, and history into your work
  • Desire to contribute in a meaningful way to a growing, thriving non-profit
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a marketing, communications, or related field

JewishColumbus offers generous vacation time as well as paid time off for Jewish holidays as well as many national holidays. 

There is a significant employer contribution towards healthcare premiums for both the PPO and High Deductible Health Plans. JewishColumbus provides an annual $500 Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution for those participating in the HDHP health plan.
 

Pre-tax contributions towards a Dependent Care Account (DCA)are available.

We also offer a hybrid work schedule. The Marketing team is in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a flexible third day.
