Chief Executive Officer - Harrisburg

Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg Harrisburg PA

Background
Harrisburg is the capital city of Pennsylvania with a small-town feel. A warm and welcoming community and a great place to raise a family, Harrisburg is centrally located to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, NYC, Baltimore, and Washington DC. The city sits on the Susquehanna River and there is a strong professional and medical community.

Harrisburg is rich in Jewish community institutions, including the JCC, Jewish Family Service, multiple synagogues of every denomination and the only Jewish Day School in the region. There are 2 Jewish community publications in town, Kol Central Pa and The Community Review. The JCC is home to the well-regarded Brenner Family Early Learning Center, summer camp, senior programs and sports & fitness. A Jewish Film Festival, Harrisburg Jewish Chorus, Kol HaNeshama and PJ Library programming round out the many cultural programs that serve the community.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg is leading a move for Jewish agencies onto a new central campus. The Alexander Grass Campus for Jewish Life will soon become a hub for our community to gather, to learn, to nurture, and to connect. This is an amazing opportunity for the new executive to make their mark for years to come. The 6+ acres campus and six spacious buildings will provide ample space for a multitude of educational, cultural, philanthropic, and wellness programs for community members of all ages.
