Annual Campaign Development Manager - St. Louis

The St. Louis Jewish Federation (Federation) is looking for an individual with experience and professional excellence to serve as our Annual Campaign Development Manager.
For over 120 years Federation has provided support - financial and non-financial – to an ecosystem of community partners in order to meet the needs of the community. Raising between $12-$17M annually, and having a Foundation (Center for Legacy Giving) with over $150M in assets, the Development department leads Federation’s work as the center for Jewish philanthropy in St. Louis.
This position is ideal for a candidate with experience in designing and implementing an Annual Campaign.   
How will you spend your time?
  • 40% Planning and leading the Annual Campaign
    • Leading the goal setting process for the Annual Campaign, establishing pertinent metrics, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies
    • Developing the Annual Campaign marketing strategy, implement plans and marketing tactics in partnership with the Communications department
  • 30% Analyzing and reporting on data to improve campaign results
    • Assessing current development-related data tracking efforts to identify gaps and create plans to enhance data tracking and analytics efforts
    • Collaborating with the Database Administrator to design and build queries and reports to support campaign and programmatic fundraising efforts via forecasting and data analytics 
  • 20% Conducting direct solicitation with donors, including managing a portfolio of 60-80 prospects 
  • 10% Engaging, training and motivating volunteers and Development team members
    • Creating and implementing a plan to ensure a robust group of Development Volunteers are recruited, motivated, and trained to implement donor solicitation 
    • Supervising 1-2 team members, including the Donor Services Associate
Our ideal candidate possesses:
  • A Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in fundraising for non-profit organizations or associations
  • Knowledge of list management, statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support, improve and enhance fundraising marketing practices
  • Proven success in utilizing data to achieve strategic outcomes. 
  • Knowledge of St. Louis’ Jewish community preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Constituent Relationship Management software (such as Blackbaud or SalesForce).
Our team loves working in support of helping others live with human dignity, meaning, and relevance.   We are passionate about joining in regional efforts to grow the St. Louis economic and professional environment.   We offer a compensation package that includes a fun, collaborative team environment with excellent health and wellness benefits, and a compensation range between $65,000 and $80,000 a year depending on experience.  This position will work in a hybrid work environment, including 2-3 days per week at the Millstone Campus in Creve Coeur.
