Support Critical Funding for Jewish Communities
Funding for the safety of our communities and the dignity of Holocaust survivors is on the line.
Please fill out the form at this link NOW to ask your elected officials to fully fund the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) and the Holocaust Survivor Assistance Program (HSAP) in Fiscal Year 2026.
The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) provides critical security enhancements to nonprofit and faith-based institutions facing threats. Over the past decade, antisemitism has increased an incredible 893%, greatly accelerated in the aftermath of the horrific Hamas attacks on October 7th. NSGP equips community institutions, Jewish and non-Jewish, with the security infrastructure needed to keep people safe. In the Jewish community, these institutions include like Jewish Community Centers, synagogues, Jewish summer camps, Jewish day schools, and on-campus Chabad and Hillel centers, all of which face increased threats. Increasing funding for NSGP to $500 million is vital to protect our places of worship, learning, and gathering.
The Holocaust Survivor Assistance Program (HSAP) supports Holocaust survivors and other older adults who have experienced significant hardship by delivering person-centered, trauma-informed services that promote affordable aging, health, independence, and community connection. Most Holocaust survivors are over the age of 85 and face challenges related to isolation, declining health, and limited access to essential care services. Without appropriate support, these seniors are at greater risk of hospitalization and higher healthcare costs. Funding HSAP at $10 million will ensure that Holocaust survivors and other vulnerable older adults continue to receive critical assistance, enabling them to age with dignity and share their histories with future generations.
We encourage you to contact your Members of Congress TODAY and urge them to support these essential programs by completing the form at this link. Your advocacy can make a difference in protecting our communities and honoring Holocaust survivors’ resilience.
