Join the The Jewish Federation of
Greater Washington's
Technology and Life Sciences
Mission to Israel 2003
October 26th -- November 2nd, 2003

What can I look forward to?

  • Developing and exploring new business opportunities at a very senior level;
  • Seeing cutting edge technology in the Jewish homeland;
  • Better understanding the day to day Israeli experience
  • Seeing what a real difference your gifts are making firsthand.
  • Because of the intimate group, this is a very unique opportunity to meet senior Israeli business and government leaders in small and private group settings!

What's the purpose?
The purpose of the mission is three-fold:

  • Show solidarity with Israel at this critical time;
  • Meet with top Israeli technology and life sciences executives and senior government officials;
  • See firsthand the difference The Jewish Federation and United Jewish Communities are making in Israel.

What is the cost?
The Mission to Israel has two costs:

1. A minimum gift to your local Jewish Federation is required.

2. The participant must pay half the price of this highly-subsidized mission. The trip is all inclusive, with 5 star accommodations, and the cost is $2,500. A business-class upgrade is available for an extra $1,000.

Who are we meeting with?
We have confirmed meetings with the senior management of (and others to be announced):

  • VC's: Chemi Peres, Pitango; Dany Star, Intel Capital; Giza; Millenium; Apax Leumi; Denali Ventures; Amir Gal-Or, Infinity; GE Equity, Sam Cubac; Adi Goldin, Inventech.
  • Top Israeli Hi-Tech Companies: 3Com, Palm, Gilat Satellite, Elron, ECI Telecom, Tower Semiconductor, and more!
  • Israel's Cutting Edge Biotech: Weitzmann Institute, Clal Biotech, RAD Biotech Incubator, Nanolayers, Sol-Gel, Applied Nanomaterials, NanoPowders, and more!
  • Plus: U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Kurtzer, top Israeli government officials, the Ministry of Trade, Israel Export Institute, and others!

What about security?

1. Security – The Federation is extremely conscious of security, and will never put its delegation in a dangerous situation. Daily security briefings, armed guards as escorts, and a flexible itinerary will ensure your safety.

2. Transportation – All transportation will be private, and will bring us door-to-door from our hotel to our upscale business meetings. Bus drivers have direct cellphone and radio links to the main UJC office and Israeli security services.
