Israel Action Network Debuts New Website January 15, 2013
The Israel Action Network, a project of The Jewish Federations of North America, in partnership with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, is thrilled to announce exciting new changes to IAN’s home on the web. The new and improved portal, which will remain at the same web address - www.IsraelActionNetwork.org - underwent an expansive transformation. It now hosts a wealth of new information and resources for communities to use in their work countering assaults made on Israel’s legitimacy.
New features include dedicated channels spotlighting hot topics on college campuses, within mainline Protestant churches, as well as issues such as Palestinian Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI), Flotillas, Iran and other Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) related issues. Fact sheets, FAQs, case studies, videos, recommended reading and newsletters will also be readily available along with milestone accomplishments.
IAN will also maintain a daily voice through a new blog. This go-to page will serve to update the community on breaking news, current events, articles and community spotlights. Managed by IAN’s Director of Communications and Social Media Emily Hochberg, the IAN blog will also feature posts by guest authors as well as IAN staff to offer unique insight into the work being done both locally and globally to counter assaults on Israel’s legitimacy.
Visitors will also be able to keep current on all IAN activity. From active campaigns and best practices, to an interactive map detailing IAN mobilizations with communities across the nation, this new site will offer a dynamic experience for all users.
Finally, Federation executives and JCRC professionals will be able to convene in an interactive members-only, password-protected area to share documents, best practices and lessons learned that have proved useful in countering assaults made on Israel’s legitimacy. Users will be able to ask questions and provide feedback to their peers in a safe setting that will be monitored by IAN. For further questions regarding access, contact IAN to request an account. This portion of the website is slated to be launched next month.
