When should I arrive?
Opening Plenary begins at 4:00pm on Wednesday, August 1st. There are some pre-Retreat meetings/trainings scheduled for various groups as follows on Wednesday:
YL Professionals will have I-Lead from 9-4 on Wednesday August 1st
First Year Cabinet Members begin orientation at 12:00pm (includes lunch)
Caucus Leaders Training is at 1:00pm
Mentors at 2:30pm
Passing of the Gavel
Passing of the Gavel (optional): On Tuesday night, July 31st, we will gather to celebrate the outgoing NYL Chairs, Brian Katz and Shelly Kupfer, and welcome in the new chairs, Keith Greenwald and Elyse Lackie. Program begins at 8:30pm. For those interested in going to dinner before hand, at your own expense, please contact, Emily Leventhal at NYLCabinet@gmail.com
How much is Retreat?
Your registration fee covers the cost of all meals, except for Thursday's dinner, as well as all programming at retreat.
NYL Cabinet member: $975
Federation professional: $750.
Please note - Canadian Cabinet members and professionals will be billed registration and hotel costs by UIA Canada. Canadian participants will still be asked to enter a credit card to reserve a hotel room but credit cards will not be charged. A credit card will be required when checking into the hotel to cover incidentals.

How much will rooms cost?
JFNA has secured rooms at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club Resort for $167.00 per night for single or double occupancy, plus 12.5% tax. Additional persons, (over two) are $25.00 per night
What is the deadline to reserve my room?
The deadline to reserve a room will be Monday, June 25th. After this date, hotel reservations are subject to availability and at prevailing rates. Due to peak travel to Orlando during the summer months, neither space nor rates can be guaranteed beyond the cutoff date of June 25th.
What if I want to extend my stay?
The JFNA special room rate of $167.00 plus 12.5% tax will be available to you from July 29th-August 6th, subject to room availability.
Can I have a roommate?
Of course. We don't assign roommates, but when it is ready, we encourage you to go to our Retreat Facebook page to see who else needs one.
What airport should I fly into?
You should fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO).
How far is the hotel from the airport?
Disney provides a complimentary bus service, the Disney Magical Express, to and from the airport to the Disney Beach Club Resort, which is only available to resort guests. The ride on the Magical Express is approximately 45 minutes. Approximately two weeks before Retreat, you will receive an email with your hotel confirmation and instructions to make a reservation either by telephone or on line. You must have your flight information available at the time of booking. Please note that you must list ALL guests joining you at the hotel as roommates in your housing reservation in order for your guests to utilize Disney Magical Express transportation.
In the event you do not want to take advantage of the Magical Express service, you may rent a car at any one of the car rental companies located in the Orlando International Airport or take a taxi which costs approximately $45.
What time on Sunday should I plan my flight home?
Saturday night can be a late night so we leave it up to you as to how much sleep you want to get.
What should I wear?
Clothing at Retreat is generally casual except for Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday night. (For Shabbat services, men typically wear slacks and a buttoned-down shirt; women usually wear a skirt or dress.) While it will be very hot outside in Orlando, please remember the conference center is air-conditioned. You may want to bring along a sweater or sweatshirt.
Is there any “down time”?
This year’s Retreat is packed with meaningful and exclusive leadership programming, and it is important to attend it all. There is always "conversation time" before and after sessions. In the evenings, after the last session and sometimes before dinner as well, Cabinet chevre gather in the lobby and the bar. There are scheduled breaks when you might go to the parks, make use of the resort facilities, or just relax by the pool. Try to take advantage of these times to get to know your chevre. Guests may take advantage of discounted park tickets for all Disney Theme Parks. Several options are available to fit your needs. Is it important to attend every session?
These sessions are the reason you are here - they include incredible educational opportunities that you can only get at Retreat. The sessions will inspire you and provide you with valuable leadership skills that you can take back to your local communities. If you have any questions during Retreat about what the sessions might be like, ask one of the professionals or a more experienced Cabinet member.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Cancellations processed through June 30 will be charged a processing fee of $50. Cancellations between July 1 and July 31 will be charged a $250 fee. After August 1 there will be NO refunds.
Hotel Cancellations: Hotel reservations must be canceled at least 5 days (120 hours) prior to your scheduled arrival to avoid forfeiture of your one night advance deposit. For reservations not cancelled within this timeframe the hotel will retain one night's deposit.
All cancellations (registrations and hotel) MUST be received in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your confirmation number in your request.
