IAN Teleconference Tomorrow with Amb. Dennis Ross September 26, 2011
The Israel Action Network (IAN), an initiative of The Jewish Federations of North America in partnership with the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, is hosting a special teleconference tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m. (EDT), with Dennis Ross, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for the Central Region. He is a former special U.S. Ambassador to the Middle East.
The call is intended to inform communities about the latest developments with the Palestinians' proposed unilateral declaration of independence (UDI) and to help communities effectively counter this challenge. The resolution was introduced at the UN on Sept. 23. Ambassador Ross will discuss UDI, help clarify its implications, and answer questions.
Communities can also raise their collective voice to oppose UDI by signing an online petition, created by IAN, in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. Last week IAN and the JCRC of New York delivered 100,000 signatures on the petition to global leaders at the UN, and to the U.S. delegation.
Toll-free dial-in, Israel: 1-809-457-877 or 1-809-315-362 Conference ID: 92322699.
