Israel Education Fund
update

The Israel Education Fund family and the State of Israel have lost a true builder of Zion. We dedicate this issue of the IEF Update to the remarkable achievements of our friend and colleague, Yitzchak Shavit z”l. We are committed to honoring Itzik’s memory by ensuring that his remarkable legacy of strengthening Israel in partnership with our dedicated IEF donors endures.

Since the first IEF building dedication in 1964, our donors have quite literally transformed Israel. But the work of our unique partnership with the people of Israel in building the Jewish homeland is far from over.

Inside we feature the dedication of the new Maalot Cultural Center in northern Israel funded through partnering long-time IEF donors The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Foundation with Israeli philanthropists. This is just the latest example of the Rapoport’s continuing commitment to create quality communities in Israel. And IEF’s commitment to forge new partnerships to leverage every dollar invested by our IEF donors.

Also in this issue we highlight capital project opportunities for two of Israel’s most vulnerable populations: at risk Ethiopian immigrant youth and elderly who need our help to have access to secure independent living. Your support can make all the difference. Whatever your interest, our IEF team is committed to aligning your philanthropic objectives with urgently needed projects and programs that can shape Israel’s future.

Together with you, we look forward to building on the tremendous success IEF achieved under Yitzchak’s leadership. There can be no greater tribute to his memory.

Wishing you a wonderful Passover—
