Second Generation IEF Donor, Linda Pearce Rosensweig, Reunites With Students From Kiryat Motzkin Pearce Preschool

November 12, 2009

30 years ago, Linda Rosensweig took part with her parents, Henry and Sally Pearce, in the dedication ceremony of Kiryat Motzkin Pearce Preschool. This fall, she returned to the school her family helped build and reconnected with students–both past and present–for an emotional reunion.

On Thursday, November 5, Linda, together with her husband Norton, visited the Pearce Preschool. During their visit, the couple met Galit, who 30 years ago was a little girl in the Pearce Preschool and also attended the the preschool’s dedication ceremony. Galit has since grown up and enrolled her own daughter in that preschool. “I was there at the preschool’s dedication when I was a little girl, and thirty years later I remember it quite well,” Galit says.

Linda and Norton were treated to a warm reception. The children arranged an artistic presentation and gave the Rosensweig’s a beautiful gift
samples of their artwork. Linda then presented to the children pictures of her grandchildren, who wrote about themselves and promised to keep in touch with the children in the preschool. Linda and Norton thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment of their visit, and promised to visit the Kiryat Motzkin Pearce Preschool again soon, together with their families.

The Pearce Preschool in Kiryat Motzkin was built through the Israel Education Fund
in 1979.
