SPECIAL AT THE 2009 GA: JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
A Foundation for Jewish Culture Film Festival will premiere at this year’s GA on Sunday evening, featuring two exciting new Jewish films, followed by Q&A sessions with the films’ directors. The films are:

Four Seasons Lodge, a moving account of a group of Holocaust survivors who come together each summer to relive their tragedy and to celebrate their lives. The film will be preceded by a trailer for Fifth Generation: Kibbutz at 100, an examination of the history of Israel’s kibbutz movement.

Off and Running: A Very American Coming of Age Story, is the unusual story of a young African-American woman who was adopted into a lesbian Jewish family and is changed forever when her birth mother reestablishes contact. This film will be preceded by a trailer for Sderot: Rock in the Red Zone, a powerful documentary about Sderot’s music scene that thrives despite ongoing missile attacks.
