VIP Department in Israel: A Home Away From Home
The VIP Department in Israel serves Jewish Federation of North America's major donors and their “next generation” family members, designing tailor-made boutique visits planned with their special interests in mind, focusing on JFNA-supported and campaign programs. Our exclusive benefits are available to all donors of $10,000 and more.
Through VIP services, federations offer donors a deeper understanding of and connection to the federation system. Guests have the unique opportunity to “see their dollars at work” through visits to programs run by our partners, including the Jewish Agency, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), and the Ethiopian National Project. VIP Israel also provides high-level briefings by Israeli opinion-makers and government officials.
Alongside these features, the department crafts visits that meet each guest's special interests, helping every visitor discover a fresh, exciting slice of Israeli life. The department works to incorporate a range of activities into an itinerary that's tailor-made to each person. Special themes include eco-tourism, gourmet food and wine, unique art and cultural events, and "off the beaten track" sports activities.
The department, which served 1800 guests in 2008, communicates with federations and donors prior to and throughout the visit, conveying key information regarding special donor interests and preferences.
It handles several prestigious missions annually: The Prime Minister’s Cabinet Mission (PMC), The King David Society Mission, The Campaign Chairmen and Directors (CCD) Mission, as well as the JAFI Board of Governors/ Assembly three times a year (February, June & October).

Speakers Bureau: Expert lecturers for every occasion
The Global Operation’s Speakers Bureau, together with its national counterpart in New York, identifies experts on Israel-related topics and coordinates speaking tours to communities in North America to strengthen the ties between Israel and North American Jewry and Jewish Federations. It locates, trains and dispatches speakers and teaches them about the federation system.
The bureau provides communities with experts on topics including politics, foreign policy, security, hi-tech industry, socioeconomic issues, trends in Israel-Diaspora relations and Jewish demography, plans programs together with the Jewish Agency, and showcases JDC projects through professional speaking tours, among other functions.
