a very likable boy who loves to play in the absorption center’s playground.
Though he’s only 3, he likes to join the activities of the elementary school
children. Hhe understands Aamharic but speaks only Hebrew.
family
background Agramnala’s mother died during childbirth and two
months later the family – his father and four siblings – made aliyah. The family
lives in the Kalisher Aabsorption Center in Be’er Sheva. Hhis older sister
serves as the mother of the household – she cooks, cleans, does laundry and
along with her father, takes care of the children.
daily schedule at the
absorption center Agramnala goes to nursery school every day
and plays with his friends. Hhe stays at nursery school until 4 p.m., when his
father picks him up. Aagramnala and his father go home and his sister gives them
dinner. Aafterwards, and his father play in the absorption center’s playground.
From time to time, joins with the kindergarten children in their social
activities and Hebrew lesson.
teacher’s
report The teacher met Aagramnala when he first arrived at
the absorption center, and they have become very close. Hhe goes to her class
from time to time and learns Hhebrew. Sometimes he calls her Mom. Nnow and then
Aagramnala’s teacher goes with him to his apartment and helps his sister take
care of him. She says he recently got out of diapers and is now very
independent.
