AJFCA
Creating Meaningful
Opportunities for Older Adults in the Provision of Agency Services
$45,500
This program involves the recruitment, training, and utilization
of adults over 55 in agency programs and services either as paid staff or as
volunteers. The project focuses on the fact that many people over 55 will be
looking for meaningful work and volunteer opportunities in the not too distant
future. AJFCA will train agencies in the best ways to use this large pool of
dedicated people and will create the national marketing efforts needed to
attract older adults as volunteers and staff.

JTA
Video Coverage
Project
$65,500
JTA launched a video coverage project, aimed at
providing high-quality Jewish video news content on the Web. In responding to
the growing demand for online video content, JTA is meeting this need by
providing compelling videonews content that is entertaining, informative and
enriching. JTA is producing and publishing on-location video news reports,
supplementary video to support article content, and a weekly news round-up
geared toward younger viewers. This content can be found on the JTA Web
site and, in some cases, shared with other Jewish Web sites. JTA is also
promoting this content widely on the Web and in other places where younger Jews
are to be found.
