FEREP Eligibility Requirements

Each year, the FEREP Graduate Scholarship Program looks for talented individuals who have excelled in their previous endeavors and are dedicated to working in the Jewish community.  Specifically, candidates must:

  • Have a United States or Canadian citizenship
  • Have been awarded a Bachelors degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Have applied or been accepted into a graduate program in an academic area that meets FEREP requirements in the United States or Canada. Final award of FEREP scholarship is contingent on acceptance. (See FEREP Guidelines page for additional details).
  • Be prepared to intern at a local Federation during graduate school and work full-time at a North American Jewish Federation following graduate school for a minimum of two years.

The FEREP Program looks for candidates with:

  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in past experiences
  • An understanding of, and interest in the core mission of the Jewish Federation System
  • A strong personal commitment to Jewish community

PLEASE NOTE: FEREP is a highly selective program. Meeting eligibility requirements does NOT guarantee acceptance.
