We like to think that we plan great missions, where every day is packed with unique experiences. But a couple of events we planned for this mission are so fabulous they exceed even our usual high standards.

Like our July 4th Shabbat dinner and festivities in Jerusalem. Sure, it's been done, but when was the last time you celebrated your independence in the capital of the Jewish homeland? It's an experience like no other. And - dine under the stars at an authentic Bedoin hafla (feast).

SEE ISRAEL FROM THE INSIDE
Meet new Ethiopian immigrants and explore the south.  Visit our peers in areas paired with North American communities through Partnership 2000 (P2K), for a chance to meet young Israelis and see the impact we've made.

Witness firsthand the extraordinary work and of our partner organizations, which do so much good work in Israel addressing issues like poverty, the elderly, and new immigrants.

Get fresh perspectives on Israeli life and politics when we meet with leaders in government, the media and the military.

BEYOND FALAFEL
Eating falafel is an integral part of the Israel experience--and plenty of humus, and of course, the unforgettable shwarma. A good rule of thumb: The more unassuming the restaurant, the better the falafel/humus/shwarma.

But Israeli food is just the tip of the iceberg. Both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem have exciting restaurant choices with fresh, Israeli takes on French, Japanese, Italian--you name it. You'll have free time to explore the restaurant scene in both cities, and we'll supply plenty of recommendations.
