The Family Philanthropy Initiative helps you strengthen engagement with Jewish philanthropy. 

FPI offers a place for Jewish funders of all ages to:

• Share perspectives with your peers in a comfortable and safe environment
• Explore local and global Jewish needs and funding opportunities
• Strengthen the effectiveness of their grantmaking
• Discover opportunities for collaborative giving and venture philanthropy

Programs

The Family Philanthorpy Initiative promotes intergenerational dialogue, focusing on the intersection among Jewish values, philanthropic decision-making and gender and inclusion issues:

• The Abraham Curriculum, a six-part series that strengthens and integrates adult learning in philanthropy and Jewish values. Developed with the Florence Melton Adult Mini School and the Center for Funds and Foundations at The ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.
• Jewish Women’s History, Finance and Philanthropy, a three-part series that encourages women to endow their gifts, promote models of collective decision-making and use their philanthropy to better the lot of women and girls.
• The Foundation Series for Young Adults, a five-part series that explores the values of philanthropic decision-making and the practice of running a family foundation. Developed with The Ackerman Institute for the Family and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
