List of Contributing Federations to Hurricane Katrina Relief

More than $5.7 million has been raised in the nine days since UJC/the federations of North America has opened a mailbox to help with hurricane relief efforts. Funds are helping Jewish and non-Jewish storm victims, most of whom are now homeless with basic necessities including: financial aid; mental-health counseling; temporary housing; health and respite care.

Contributions are still coming in via the Web, through federations and hundreds of checks have been sent to UJC’s post office box. Through www.ujc.org, more than $1.6 million has arrived to date, while all UJCweb member sites have raised more than $2.4 million.

If your community has reached a fundraising milestone and you would like to share your achievements, please email UJC’s Communications department.

Here are some of the communities contributing to the UJC Hurricane Katrina relief fund, either by pointing people to the UJC fund online or by raising funds directly for UJC. If your community is not on this list, please email us as theUJC Communications Department at ujccommdept@ujc.org and we’ll add you.
