Through the Israel Solidarity Drive of The Jewish Federations of North America, Jews in the United States and Canada express solidarity with the people of Israel and work to help Israel grow and recover in times of crisis.

The Israel Solidarity Drive was initially launched in response to the growing humanitarian needs in Southern Israel after the missile attacks on southern Israel in recent years. That area has been hit by more than 10,000 missile attacks from the Gaza region. The fund now helps our partners on the ground help relief efforts after terror attacks anywhere in Israel.

Funds raised by the Israel Solidarity Drive go to Jewish Federation movement partners in Israel: the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC).

The Jewish Federations of North America raised substantial funds to help Israel recover from attacks in recent years; the Israel Solidarity Drive has raised nearly $9 million, which has largely gone to help Israel recover from attacks and invest in disaster preparedness infrastructure. Additionally, two Israel Emergency Campaigns since 2000 raised a total of $720 million in crisis response funding for Israel.
