Assistant Campaign Director

Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Assistant Campaign Director is an energetic and ambitious fundraiser who will successfully partner with Executive and volunteer leadership to ensure a well-organized, implemented and successfully completed annual fundraising campaign.

Major Responsibilities

Manages overall campaign operations:

  • Ensures that campaign divisions are organized
  • In consultation with Executive and Volunteer leaders, ensures that cards are assigned to volunteer and staff solicitors
  • Trains volunteers and staff to be effective solicitors
  • Follows up with solicitors toward successful completion of their assignments and provides support with challenging situations
  • Reviews donor acknowledgement letters
  • In partnership with volunteer committees, plans, organizes and implements annual campaign events including Kick-Off Dinner, Major Gifts events, Super Sunday, etc.
  • Manages a small portfolio of donors
  • Ensures that donor information is effectively and efficiently entered and maintained and that prospect cultivation is appropriately tracked and that reporting systems are complete efficient, accurate and monitored for quality control
  • Assist in website maintenance and newsletter

Qualifications and Competencies

  • BA, MA preferred
  • At least 3 years campaign/fundraising experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong Jewish background and familiarity with the Jewish communal environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the volunteer-professional relationship and ability to manage those relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative and cooperative environment



Desired Education Degree/Level:Masters

Career Level:2-5 yrs. experience
