Campaign/Major Gifts Associate

Position Description:
Reporting to the Sr. VP: Campaign Director, assists in achieving the fundraising goals annual campaign fundraising activities and does other related work as required.
Principal Duties:
Assist in the formulation of plans and organization of assigned divisions for the Campaign. Develops, cultivate and manage donors. Create, organize and implement fundraising and leadership development strategies and tactics for assigned division(s). Identify, recruit, organize and train volunteer workers in furtherance of Campaign goals. Assure adherence to Campaign timetable and schedules. Based on established guidelines, utilize fundraising software to document and maintain files of donors and prospects. Meet with individuals, committees and organizations to gain support for the Campaign. Prepare necessary reports. Staff, as required, special events or other activities, leadership development groups and committees. Depending on experience level, may solicit/co-solicit current major gift donors for annual gifts, solicit/co-solicit upgrades and new major gift donors for their annual gifts, and develop and sustain relationships with qualified major gifts donors favorable to upgrading individual giving, expansion of donor-base and leadership development.
Additional Duties:
Be available to supervisor for other assignments as required. Other duties may be assigned as needed including assisting with the Campaign.
Education, Skill and Experience Requirements:
BA required, advanced degree preferred. Prior experience in fundraising and or related activity with a local or national organization. Previous experience in social work, community organization or related experience desired. College graduate with knowledge and/or administrative experience. Experience with computer-based applications and systems such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Knowledge of the Jewish community, strong verbal, writing and organizational skills highly desirable. Appropriate education and related experience strongly desired.
