Position Overview
Major non-profit Jewish organization seeks a full-time Director for The Network, which engages post-college community members ages 22 - 39 in the mission of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. The Network reaches out to various affinity groups and professions by offering a compelling menu of social, educational, philanthropic, leadership development, travel and hands-on volunteering opportunities. This position requires a creative thinker who encourages innovation and can promote The Network effectively, with available resources.
The Network Director manages and works in partnership with the Network’s volunteer board. The Network is comprised of three key areas: Outreach, Campaign and Leadership Development, and often collaborates with other Federation divisions. The various committees which fall under these pillars are split up and staffed by The Network Director and The Network Campaign Associate. In addition to the descriptions below, The Network Director oversees the responsibilities and professional development of the team. . The Network Director will supervise the Campaign Associate and the Administrative Assistant. This position will report to the Campaign Director.
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferable
Three years experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Exceptional and proven communication and writing skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Good team player with the ability to help build consensus
Supervisory experience preferred.
Fundraising experience
Event planning experience
Quick learner with strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of volunteer/professional dynamics
Self-starter who is resourceful and able to spearhead new initiatives
Computer skills, including strong experience with Microsoft Office and social media
Knowledge of Jewish customs and traditions preferred
Due to the lifestyle of this age group, this position will include numerous evenings and occasional weekend work. There are also some travel requirements

Campaign:
The Network Director will oversee the fundraising plans for this age group with an emphasis on cultivating donors and solicitors for the Annual Campaign. This will include developing the growth of the Ben-Gurion Society ($1,000 minimum gift) and Network365 ($365 minimum gift). Campaign activities will include organizing minimum gift events, solicitation trainings and phonathons. This Network Director will also have assignments for community-wide Campaign events.
Outreach:
The Network Director will strategize plans for intensive outreach, encouraging referrals and identifying leaders. Outreach efforts will include meeting with individuals, listening to their needs and inspiring them to connect to the activities provided by The Network. The Network Director manages the Outreach Professions Committee and will plan various programs designed for real estate, legal and finance professionals of all ages.
Leadership Development:
The Network Director oversees the volunteer board and manages various committees, including the Nominations Committee to select board members; the Executive Committee; the Outreach Professions Committee; the Ben-Gurion Society and training opportunities for the board, including the annual board retreat. The Network Director customizes a continuum of opportunities for each leader, including transition plans for those aging out of The Network.
