The Jewish Federations of North America established the Global Planning Table (GPT) so that Federations may embrace the most compelling challenges and opportunities to strengthen and build the Jewish people, ensuring that our collective philanthropic investments have meaningful impact where most needed. This position is designed to manage and provide support to Global Planning Table. Primary responsibilities include support and implementation of Global Planning Table committees’ and commissions’ activities; development and execution of programs and ad hoc meetings; and support to Federation planners.


  • Provide necessary support, including but not limited to development of agendas and materials, research,  and logistics to implement the activities of the GPT and Partnership Committees and GPT Commissions
  • Attend meetings of the GPT and Partnership Committees and GPT Commissions
  • Support the development and implementation of and participate in Global Planning Table missions
  • Draft communications for the Global Planning Table on the impact of Federations’ work overseas, the success of the Global Planning Table, the issues Federations are trying to address through our global work, etc.
  • Support the conceptualization, development and execution of various programs components related to GPT in the General Assembly, TribeFest, and Lion of Judah conferences
  • Work with the GPT Senior Director to develop concepts, materials, and ensure successful execution of any additional ad hoc programs or meetings that are identified
  • Provide support to Federation planners including but not limited to the maintenance and enhancement of the planners’ website, and the planning and execution of the annual Planners’ Institutes


  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Excellent writing and public speaking skills 
  • Highly organized, positive and outgoing
  • Excellent technology skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to see the “big picture”
  • Able to convene groups and plan/execute programs and events
  • Minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience
